I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Lapointe as the new Director - International/At Large effective immediately. Elizabeth replaces Sandra Devlin who resigned earlier this fall due to health issues. Elizabeth will serve the remainder of this year's term for Sandra and will stand for election in the spring of 2006.
Elizabeth is a columnist and writer, and her "Canadian Connections" appears at the Genealogy Today Web site at http://www.genealogytoday.com/ca/connect/. She maintains a Web site at http://www.genealogycanada.com/ that contains news about genealogy, heritage, and history. She is a member of ISFHWE, of the Professional Writers Association of Canada (PWAC), of the Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ), and was a founding member of the Canadian Freelance Union. (CFU).
Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Elizabeth as a member of our great ISFHWE Team!
