The GRAMPS project is proud to announce the 2.0.9 ("Nobody expects the Spanish inquisition!") release of GRAMPS for Linux and UNIX. The release can be downloaded from the GRAMPS SourceForge site at http://sourceforge.net/projects/gramps
This release adds many incremental improvements throughout the whole program. This includes command line, document generators, reports, tools, filters, graphical user interface responsiveness, web site generator, import and export, and many other areas with new features and bug fixes.
With this release, the 2.0.x branch goes into the maintenance stage. Future release in this branch will be made, but only the bugs will be fixed, and no new features will be added. The main development is shifting into the 2.1/2.2 branch with focus on further performance improvements.
