Kicking off an ambitious 2006 schedule for the Dallas Genealogical Society, Karen Clifford, AG, FUGA, will conduct an all-day seminar on "Internet and Genealogical Methodology" on Saturday, 4 February 2006, at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library. Her topics will include Methods & Sources for Successful Online Research; Connecting One Person to Another; When Surname Searching Doesn't Work; Helping you Save Time, Money and Find the Answers; and Solving Difficult Southern States Research Problems Using the Internet.
Gladys Friedman Paulin, CG, will address "Immigration and Urban Research" on Saturday, 4 March 2006, also at the J. Erik Jonnson Central Library. She will speak on The Immigrant Experience, 1620-1920; The Ship's List: Genealogical Information on the Immigrant Manifest; Lost in the City? Researching Urban Ancestors; and Beyond the Names: Mining that City Directory.
