Genealogists from across many states will convene at the 36th Annual Genealogical Fair hosted by the St. Louis Genealogical Society on 8 April 2006. This event will be held at the Maryland Heights Centre, 2344 McKelvey Road, St. Louis from 8:00 until 4:00.

Indiana Charter Bus Trip to NGS Conference

The Indiana Genealogical Society (http://www.indgensoc.org) is chartering a bus to take passengers from Indiana to the National Genealogical Society's Conference in the States, to be held June 7-10, 2006 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago.

Dallas Genealogical Society Lecture Series Features Experts on Methodology, Urban Research

American Association for State and Local History Announces 2006 Leadership in History Awards Program

NASHVILLE, TN—January 2006—The American Association for State and Local History (AASLH) invites submissions to the newly renamed Leadership in History Awards Program.  Now in its 61st year, the awards program has gone through some revisions, including a change in title to reflect what it recognizes.  The awards program is the most prestigious national recognition for achievement in the preservation and interpretation of local, state, and regional history.  The Awards Program was initiated in 1945 to establish and encourage standards of excellence in the collection, preservation, and interpretation of state and local history throughout America.

Google Executive Peter Norvig to Speak at BYU Workshop on Family History Technology
